Company Director: Eamon Murray studied architecture, building technology and was a conventional builder for many years. In recent years he developed an interest in looking at alternative building solutions, which culminated in travelling to Finland to study timber technology and log house construction. In 2001 he formed The Log House Company. His work started with his own 3 acre development of seven log houses in Co.Wicklow. His own family home being the first house, which is now the show house for The Log House Company, has given Eamon first hand experience of the pleasure and comfort of log house living. |

The Log House Company: We promote environmentally friendly, natural and sustainable products. We import our logs from Finland and Estonia because their timber and experience are far superior to anything that is available locally. We buy direct from a small family run sawmill who source their material from the Finnish Forest Certification Scheme. They provide an experienced architect to ensure that your design will stand the test of time. We have now built a number of houses around the country, as well as extensions and saunas. |
